These terms govern your use of this website, the client portal, and any measurement work we agree to carry out. By booking a study or using the portal, you accept them.

Sorpmetrics provides liquid-phase sorption metrology: a direct mass-on-solid readout of functional loading and release on materials you send us. We measure under stated conditions and return the figures we record. We do not measure structural porosity, and a measurement is a reading of your specific sample, not a universal property guarantee.
A booking starts with a feasibility check that confirms whether your sample suits the measurement. If it does, we send a quote setting out scope, device and price. The work is agreed once you accept that quote in the portal. If the feasibility check is a no-go, we tell you why and there is no charge for the check.
You confirm that you are entitled to send us the materials and that you have disclosed any known hazards. Sample handling and minimum mass requirements depend on the device assigned to your study. We sign a mutual NDA before examining your material; what you share with us, and the measurement detail we return, stays confidential between us.
Fees are those stated in your accepted quote. Invoices are issued through the portal and are payable by the date shown. Where payment is required before testing, your samples enter the queue once it clears. Taxes are added where applicable.
We report what we measure, with the calibration and conditions used, and we stand behind the numbers we return under those conditions. We do not guarantee a particular result for your material, and any reference figures we publish — including our reading of the CO₂ held inside one working Cu₆Cr solid at 22.3 wt%, where the conventional gravimetric method, weighing the whole water-plus-particle system from the outside, under-reads it at 17.1 wt% — are proof-of-mechanism about the measurement, not a per-field or per-customer capacity promise. Our patent position is set out across the site: EP 4 481 364 B1 is granted; EP 4 636 386 A1 is in examination, with the US national phase pending.
You keep ownership of your materials and of the results we measure on them. We keep ownership of our method, devices, software and the content on this site. Nothing in these terms transfers our underlying intellectual property to you, and nothing transfers yours to us beyond what is needed to carry out the work.
We carry out the work with the care and skill you would expect of a specialist laboratory. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any study is limited to the fees paid for that study, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us promptly of any unauthorised access. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or access data that is not yours. We may suspend access where this is necessary to protect the service or other clients.
